Girl Scout Gold Award Dinner - OFF LIMITS ?

there is a Girl Scout Gold Award Awards dinner scheduled this weekend. it is to recognize and award all the girl scouts that have worked 60+ hours to earn their gold award, everything they/we have been working for for the past 13 years. there are a number of us going and attending for support. we feel that this should be off limits to the game. it is equivalent, if not more important than the governers bowl and senior recital.
